This February we had the chance to welcome two brilliant students, Shaima and Taejah, to our office as part of the Open City Education Accelerate Programme. Their project theme was Together, translating their thoughts around this into the design of a kiosk which might welcome the local community.
They started out surveying the square outside of Dalston Curve Garden, understanding the sights, sounds, and smells that make up this site. Back in the office, they used collages to gather their ideas on the theme and reflect on how their design might bring people together before building models of their kiosks.
